Tell us Not to Share Information Within Our
Corporate Family
If you do not want First Bancorp to share your
customer information within our corporate
family, you may direct us not to share by asking
to “opt-out”. To opt-out of your information
being shared within the First Bancorp corporate
family, please contact any branch office or call
(276) 623-2323 during business hours (you may
call collect). If you have previously directed
us not to share information, you do not need to
opt-out again. We will honor your request to
opt-out until you ask us to change it. An
opt-out by one accountholder will apply to all
of the joint accountholders with respect to that
joint account.
Why and
how we collect personal information
We collect personal information about you for
business purposes, such as evaluating your
financial needs for a loan request, informing
you about deposit products and services, trust
services, brokerage accounts, insurance products
and most of all to provide the very best
customer service. The personal information we
collect about you includes:

security number, occupation, assets and income).
· Information about your transactions with us,
our affiliates or others (such as your account
balance,
payment history, parties to transactions, etc.).
· Information we receive from consumer reporting

affiliated with First Bancorp, Inc.

parties to assist us in assessing your
application for any
First Bank products or for employment.
Information that is shared with others
We may share information as necessary to enforce
or facilitate a transaction or in order to
obtain an insurance quote for you. Further, we
may share information as legally required or
permitted by law as in response to a subpoena,
garnishment or tax levy or to a credit bureau.
In accordance with standard banking industry
practices and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we
share customer information with reputable credit
reporting agencies. We will share information
with companies that perform services for us and
on our behalf (such as check printing, data
processing, brokerage services and insurance
companies whose products we offer.) We require
these companies to maintain the confidentiality
of the information we share with them.
Employee
Access
We restrict access to nonpublic personal
information about you to those employees who
need to know that information in order to
provide products or services to you. All our
employees are governed by a Code of Ethics,
which states in detail the responsibilities for
protecting your financial and personal
information. We maintain physical, electronic,
and procedural safeguards that comply with
federal standards to guard your nonpublic
personal information.
