HANOVER, Virg., Aug. 20, 2024 -- First Bank and Trust Company, a diversified financial services firm with assets of $3.5 billion, today announced the addition of Clayton Terry as an Agricultural Lender in its Hanover, Virginia full-service branch. 

In his role as an Agricultural Lender in Hanover, Virginia, Clayton Terry will provide farmers and agribusinesses in Hanover and the surrounding areas of Central and Eastern Virginia with customized credit and deposit solutions to support and expand their operations. Terry's experience in loan underwriting and agricultural lending has equipped him with a deep understanding of the cyclical nature of farming. He applies this knowledge to relate to his customers and identify their needs based on all the variables present in agriculture.

Clayton's enthusiasm for the agricultural financial services industry is rooted in his love for agriculture and his desire to assist farmers with the business side of their operations, which derived from summers working on a family friend's dairy farm in Southwest Virginia.

Clayton Terry is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science with a minor in Agricultural Economics in 2019. Terry currently resides in Henrico County with his wife, Renee, and their dog, Valley. In their free time, Clayton and his wife enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, kayaking, and discovering new adventures around the state.
