Commercial Loan Processor – Lynchburg, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an Experienced Commercial Loan Processor for the Lynchburg, VA Branch. Responsibilities include providing support and assistance to the Commercial Loan Officers, in preparing loan packages to include the loan commitment letter, obtaining credit report, verifying information and ordering appraisals. The individual will provide administrative support to the loan officers and will provide superior and quality customer service to customers of The First Bank and Trust Company.

A minimum of 5 years commercial loan processing experience, preferably within the banking industry, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and related software is required. An associate’s degree in Business Law, Accounting, Business, and/or Finance is preferred. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an understanding of loans, be attentive to detail, possess good decision making skills, be able to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Mortgage Loan Processor – Christiansburg, VA
The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an Experience Mortgage Loan Processor for the Christiansburg, VA Branch of The First Bank and Trust. Responsibilities include assisting the Mortgage Loan Officer in preparing loan packages including loan commitment letters, obtaining credit reports, verifying information and ordering appraisals. The individual will provide ongoing communication to clients to ensure the mortgage loan process runs smoothly. The individual will be responsible for exception tracking and clearing.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required and an associate’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years mortgage loan experience, preferably within the banking industry, is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and related software is required. Agricultural Credit Analyst – Harrisonburg/Staunton 

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an Experienced Agricultural Credit Analyst to be located at the Harrisonburg or Staunton office to support the bank’s Agricultural and Commercial Loan Officers. The Agricultural Credit Analyst will be responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information for agricultural and commercial loans to determine the amount of risk involved in the credit decision and provide concise and accurate written reports to reflect the findings.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics and/or Finance is required. Three to five years of agricultural credit analysis experience is required. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills, self-motivated, an active listener and learner, and able to work in a team environment. Trust Officer/Financial Advisor

First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced Trust Officer/Financial Advisor for the Shenandoah Valley region (Harrisonburg/ Waynesboro/ Staunton) of First Bank and Trust. This position is responsible for managing a current book of business while obtaining new Wealth Management client relationships through proactive sales and relationship management efforts, including investment management, personal trust, retirement planning, and financial planning services. The candidate should have knowledge of trust and estate documents. The candidate must be detail oriented and provide superior customer service.  

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years trust and/or brokerage experience required. Professionals with their Certified Financial Planner (CFP)  or Certified Trust and Finance Advisor (CTFA) designation are preferred. It is also desirable for the candidate to have the appropriate brokerage licenses.  The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills and must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment.
