Data Technology / Security Specialist: Verona, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking a Data Technology / Security Support Specialist for the New River Valley and Shenandoah Valley Regions of The First Bank & Trust Company.

Data Technology: This positon is responsible for installing and troubleshooting Windows servers, workstations, and resolving staff support tickets. The individual will be capable of managing Active Directory to include managing group policy and patching Windows systems with WSUS. The individual will troubleshoot and replace common computer hardware to include, but not be limited to, motherboard, processor, hard drive, power supply and memory. In addition to computer systems, the applicant must also have experience configuring Cisco network equipment (routers and switches). Experience with SD-WAN, VMware, Wi-Fi, and Office365 is strongly preferred.

A successful candidate will be capable of installing and terminating copper Category 5/Category 6 cabling. Experience with basic Microsoft SQL administration, supporting Apple products (iPhone, Ipad) and working with Diebold ATMs is desirable. One or more of the following certifications are preferred MOUS, A+, CCENT or higher (CCNA or CCDA). EOE/AA/M/F/Disabled/Veteran.

Security: This position will also provide hands-on support for the Security Department in the New River Valley and Shenandoah Valley regions. Work will include assisting with alarm, video, and access systems, ensuring that all necessary equipment is operational and functioning as intended. Candidates will conduct quarterly security site checks, troubleshoot and respond to alarms, facilitate equipment access code changes, train staff on security related topics including robbery, and assist with criminal investigations. This candidate will support the department occasionally with security vendors, general contractors and project managers on repairs as well as project tasks associated with new office construction and building renovations. Candidates will maintain Instant Issue equipment and Safe Deposit Box locks, including drilling boxes and lock replacement.

A successful candidate must be self-motivated, have a high degree of discretion, decision making ability and confidentiality, as well as being detail oriented and organized. Additionally, strong interpersonal, listening and verbal communication skills are required.

All applicants must be willing to travel and stay overnight, be capable of lifting up to 75lbs, and climb a ladder, if necessary.

Customer Service Representative: Hanover, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking a Full-Time Customer Service Representative for the Hanover, VA Branch of The First Bank and Trust Company. This position is responsible for providing professional, efficient and accurate financial transaction processing. The job duties include opening accounts and processing transactions. The CSR will also be responsible for identifying and promoting the Bank's products and services. The CSR will be responsible for support and servicing E-Commerce products. The candidate must be detail oriented and provide superior customer service.

Prior banking experience is required. An associate’s degree or higher in business or finance is preferred. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills and must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment. Mortgage Banker: Morristown, TN
 

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking a qualified Mortgage Loan Originator for the Morristown, TN loan production office. Responsibilities include developing relationships with individuals and companies, such as realtors and builders, in order to cultivate future loan applications.  The individual will be responsible for analyzing and gathering necessary information to complete the loan process.                          

The Mortgage Loan Originator will be responsible for developing and originating mortgage loan business in Morristown, TN.  A minimum of 3-5 years of mortgage experience is required.   A Bachelor of Science degree in finance, business administration or related field is preferred.  The qualified candidate must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. EOE/AA/M/F/Disabled/Veteran

Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer – Hanover, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer for the Hanover, VA Loan Production Office. Responsibilities include assisting the Mortgage Loan Officer in preparing loan packages including loan commitment letter, obtaining credit report, collecting verifications, ordering appraisals and processing the closing. The individual will provide ongoing communication to clients to ensure the loan process runs smoothly. The individual will be responsible for exception tracking and clearing.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required and an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years mortgage loan/commercial loan processing is required. The applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and related software. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an understanding of loans, be attentive to detail, possess good decision-making skills, be able to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
