Commercial Credit Analyst – Shenandoah Valley

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an Experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to be located in the Shenandoah Valley region to support the bank’s commercial lending activities and to contribute to the overall credit quality of the bank. The Commercial Credit Analyst will be responsible for the thorough credit analysis of commercial loan requests and of all related financial information and for assessing the credit-worthiness of commercial loan requests. The Commercial Credit Analyst will also be responsible for providing complete, accurate and objective written reports presenting all information analyzed and summarizing the strengths and weaknesses of commercial loan requests.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business and/or Economics is required.  Three to five years of commercial credit analysis and/or financial accounting experience is required. The candidate must possess strong financial analysis and accounting skills, strong critical thinking skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, be well organized and be able to work in a team environment. The candidate must also have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, be an active learner, demonstrate time management skills and have the ability to work under pressure, and have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Customer Service Representative  – Harrisonburg, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an Experienced CSR for the Harrisonburg, VA branch. This position is responsible for providing high quality customer service and enhancing the customer experience in the branch. Job duties will include opening accounts, processing transactions, promoting the Bank’s products and services, and administrative support to branch manager and loan officers. The Customer Service Representative will work with local businesses to sell and service Ecommerce products including but not limited to Merchant Services, First Teller, Online Banking and Mobile Banking.

An associate’s degree in a business field is required. Prior customer service experience is required, preferably in banking. The successful candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills, will be self-motivated, well-organized and able to work well in a team environment. The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced  Commercial Loan Officer for Wytheville, Virginia. The qualified individual must possess the proven ability to build a strong referral network, develop and grow both new and existing relationships, provide innovative solutions to customers and prospects,  and demonstrate strong credit skills. Appraisal Reviewer: Abingdon, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an Appraisal Reviewer to be located in Abingdon, VA. This position will support the Credit Administration Department. The Appraisal Reviewer will be responsible for ordering residential, commercial and agricultural appraisals, conducting in-depth appraisal reviews on each.   

A high school diploma or equivalent is required and an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 2 years banking or real estate experience is preferred. The applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and related software. The ideal candidate must demonstrate an understanding of appraisals, be attentive to detail, possess good decision-making skills, be able to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Designer: Abingdon, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking a Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Designer to be located in Abingdon, VA. This position will be responsible for producing print and digital content and will assist in the management of the bank’s social media accounts, website, blog and other channels. This position will be also be responsible for coordinating marketing events and providing materials for exhibitions.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or similar field is required. Commensurate work experience will be considered. The ideal candidate has expertise in Microsoft Office programs and the following Abobe programs: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Experience with Google Analytics, My Business and Mailchimp are a plus. The candidate must possess strong oral, listening and written communication skills and must be self-motivated to work individually and also able to work in a team environment. Financial Advisor – Staunton, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor for the Shenandoah Valley region (Staunton/Harrisonburg/Waynesboro) of First Bank and Trust. This position is responsible for managing a current book of business while obtaining new Wealth Management client relationships through proactive sales and relationship management efforts, including investment management, personal trust, retirement planning, and financial planning services. The candidate should have knowledge of trust and estate documents. The candidate must be detail oriented and provide superior customer service.  It is critical that the candidate be able to cultivate relationships, both internally and through external business development. 

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years trust and/or brokerage experience required. Professionals with their Certified Financial Planner (CFP)  or Certified Trust and Finance Advisor (CTFA) designation are preferred. It is also desirable for the candidate to have the appropriate brokerage licenses.  The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills and must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment. Mortgage Banker: Morristown, TN
 

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking a qualified Mortgage Loan Originator for the Morristown, TN loan production office. Responsibilities include developing relationships with individuals and companies, such as realtors and builders, in order to cultivate future loan applications.  The individual will be responsible for analyzing and gathering necessary information to complete the loan process.

Data Technology Specialist: Verona, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking a Data Technology Specialist for the New River Valley and Shenandoah Valley Regions of The First Bank & Trust Company. This positon is responsible for installing and troubleshooting Windows servers, workstations, and resolving staff support tickets. The individual will be capable of managing Active Directory to include managing group policy and patching Windows systems with WSUS. The individual will troubleshoot and replace common computer hardware to include, but not be limited to, motherboard, processor, hard drive, power supply and memory. In addition to computer systems, the applicant must also have experience configuring Cisco network equipment (routers and switches). Experience with SD-WAN, VMware, Wi-Fi, and Office365 is strongly preferred.

A successful candidate will be capable of installing and terminating copper Category 5/Category 6 cabling. Experience with basic Microsoft SQL administration, supporting Apple products (iPhone, Ipad) and working with Diebold ATMs is desirable. One or more of the following certifications are preferred MOUS, A+, CCENT or higher (CCNA or CCDA).

A successful candidate must be self-motivated, have a high degree of discretion, decision making ability and confidentiality, as well as being detail oriented and organized. Additionally, strong interpersonal, listening and verbal communication skills are required.

Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer – Hanover, VA

The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer for the Hanover, VA Loan Production Office. Responsibilities include assisting the Mortgage Loan Officer in preparing loan packages including loan commitment letter, obtaining credit report, collecting verifications, ordering appraisals and processing the closing. The individual will provide ongoing communication to clients to ensure the loan process runs smoothly. The individual will be responsible for exception tracking and clearing.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required and an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 3 years mortgage loan/commercial loan processing is required. The applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and related software.
