First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to be located at the Staunton, VA office to support the bank’s Commercial Loan Officers. The Commercial Credit Analyst will be responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information for commercial and consumer loans to determine the amount of risk involved in the credit decision and provide concise and accurate written reports to reflect the findings.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics and/or Finance is required. Three to five years of commercial credit analysis experience is preferred. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills, self-motivated, an active listener and learner, and able to work in a team environment. Trust Officer/Financial Advisor
First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an experienced Trust Officer/Financial Advisor for the Shenandoah Valley region (Harrisonburg/ Waynesboro/ Staunton) of First Bank and Trust. This position is responsible for managing a current book of business while obtaining new Wealth Management client relationships through proactive sales and relationship management efforts, including investment management, personal trust, retirement planning, and financial planning services. The candidate should have knowledge of trust and estate documents. The candidate must be detail oriented and provide superior customer service.
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years trust and/or brokerage experience required. Professionals with their Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified Trust and Finance Advisor (CTFA) designation are preferred. It is also desirable for the candidate to have the appropriate brokerage licenses. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills and must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment. Internal Auditor - Bristol, VA
The First Bank and Trust Company is seeking an Internal Auditor for its Bristol, VA location. This individual will report to the bank’s VP/Internal Auditor and will assist with the Bank’s audit function to ensure all applicable areas are audited in a timely manner. This individual must have a strong work ethic and maintain a high level of confidentiality. The position will be responsible for assisting and performing routine operational audits, branch audits and applicable testing as well as assisting with outsourced audits, external audits and examinations.
The primary functions will include but not be limited to assisting the VP/Internal Auditor with audits, assist with annual FDICIA testing, plan, coordinate and complete branch audits, review transaction documents, review manual general ledger entries and teller outages, report to and interact with the Audit Committee, and other duties as assigned by the VP/Internal Auditor or Senior Management.
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years audit, accounting or banking experience required. Professionals with their Internal Audit Certification preferred, but not required. The candidate must possess very strong oral and written communication skills, must be self-motivated and able to work individually or in a team environment and have strong analytical skills.
