First Bank and Trust Company Announces Leadership Appointments in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee Markets

First Bank and Trust Company is pleased to announce several key leadership appointments, effective January 1, 2026, strengthening the bank’s leadership presence across Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.

Brent Dyson, SVP/Regional Manager, First Bank and Trust Company
Brent Dyson has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Regional Manager for the Southwest Virginia and Tri-Cities markets after successfully serving as Senior Vice President of the Southwest Virginia market for the past six years. Dyson brings 22 years of banking experience and joined First Bank and Trust Company in 2016. He is a graduate of Tusculum College and has completed executive banking programs at the UVA School of Banking and the LSU School of Banking. A lifelong resident of Southwest Virginia, Dyson remains engaged in his community and currently serves on the Wellspring Foundation Finance and Investment Committee and the William King Museum of Art Board of Trustees.

Wesley "Wes" Fletcher, SVP/Market Executive, First Bank and Trust Company
Wesley “Wes” Fletcher has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Market Executive, overseeing the Morristown, Gray, Johnson City, Pinnacle, Volunteer Parkway, and East Bristol offices. Fletcher is approaching his eleventh year with First Bank and Trust Company and has a strong passion for community involvement. He has served as a Commissioner on the Johnson City Housing Authority Board since 2021, as the East Tennessee Director for the Tennessee Bankers Association Young Bankers Division Board, and as a board member of the Blue Plum Organization since 2023. In 2021, Fletcher was a nominee for the Tri-Cities Business Journal 40 Under 40. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and the UVA School of Banking.

Chad Taylor, SVP/Market Executive, First Bank and Trust Company
Chad Taylor has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Market Executive, overseeing both the East and West Abingdon offices. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and deep roots in the Abingdon community, Taylor is committed to fostering strong client relationships and supporting community initiatives. He currently serves on the Virginia Highlands Community College Foundation Board.

Cory Dotson, SVP/Market Executive, First Bank and Trust Company
Cory Dotson assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Market Executive, earlier in 2025, overseeing the Wise, Norton, East and West Lebanon, and Kingsport offices. Additional details regarding Dotson’s role and leadership responsibilities can be found here.
