West Abingdon Office Updates
May 2019
December 2018
Come watch us grow and pardon our progress!
While the location, built in 1984, has given us tremendous opportunity, the physical structure has outlived its usefulness. We are “bursting at the seams” for space in several of our locations including this branch and our Operations Center located on Lee Highway.

For these reasons, we will soon begin demolition of the existing branch located at the corner of Main Street and Highway 19. Why demolition? We reviewed plans to renovate and expand the existing facility but quickly came to the conclusion that the most economical option was to tear down and build back.
Prior to any demolition, the operations and personnel of the current branch will be relocated directly across the street to 711 West Main Street which is the former Rite Aid location. We are fortunate that this location already had a vault and a drive-through window with the added benefit that it is in close proximity to the current branch. We anticipate this move to occur mid-December. We are confident that there will be no interruption in our service to you.
We will then immediately begin construction of a new state of the art facility which will house not only the branch but many of the corporate offices as well as our trust department. This will alleviate space constraints at the existing branch as well as those at our Operations Center. Construction is anticipated to commence in December and will take approximately 18 months.

We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for all of our customers. We appreciate your business and your interest in our growth and progress. We invite you to come watch us grow, and follow our progress on Facebook and Instagram. In the meantime, you can expect the same great service from the same smiling faces at our temporary facility.
